On October 14, 2019, the Lord showed me five stages of a “Gideon Sifting” process coming to the Body of Christ. When Gideon blew the shofar, 32,000 men showed up and said, “Yes.” After only two sifts however, only 300 remained.
The Church is also going through a sifting process and the shaking we are experiencing from this day and forward, will reveal the quality of our relationship with Jesus. Are we built on the foundation of Christ or not ?
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Lk. 6:46-49)
Paul tell us that in the end, the love of many will grow cold and that even many of the elect will be deceived (Mt. 24:12, 24). Father God in all His love and goodness is revealing what is going to happen to encourage us to remain faithful and steadfast through the upcoming shaking.
This is a sobering prophecy because it highlights what the Bible has warned us about all along. Yet it is an encouraging prophecy as Father God is giving us a heads-up so that we can shore up where we may be weak. Encountering His love empowers us to let go of that which harms us and receive all Jesus has already done for us. When we do this, we will be building our house on the rock of Christ Jesus.
As you read this prophecy, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal which stage or stages you most closely represent. Then, look to Jesus to complete any area in you that has lacked a revelation of His love so that you can remain faithful to the end. Also, I’ve provided a FREE 5 Shakings Prayer Guide to help empower you for the days ahead so that you can remain steadfast and victorious.
5 Stage Shaking across the Body of Christ
On October 14, 2019, I was led to read Daniel 3. As I read about the different types of leaders who all bowed to Nebuchadnezzar’s gold image (“the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials,” Dan. 3:2) the Holy Spirit showed me that all of these types of leaders were currently in position today in our nation/world as well.
In other words, the world’s leaders across every sphere of life and government were already in place to help usher in the enemy’s end game. And like the leaders in Daniel 3, they have already bowed to the proverbial Babylonian image of today, so they are loyal to satan’s cause.
We now see this to be true as governmental leaders “bowed” to an ideology of idolatry that is set to destroy our nation. Many doctors, nurses, neighbors, and thugs took a knee.
In addition, mayors, governors, police chiefs, and many others in government are working overtime to keep our nation in a state of panic and quarantine.
Deception is our battleground. “ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition” (2 Thes. 2:3, NIV)
The enemy has begun a process of deceiving various groups of the Body of Christ in five stages. It will be like peeling an onion layer by layer. Here is what Holy Spirit revealed.
Group 1
Convenient Christians
Group 2
Appearance of Good Works but
Double-Minded/White-Washed &
Leaders who Bow to Public Opinion
The second group will be those who have walked in a double-minded way. They say one thing yet do another thing. Although their lives have the appearance of good works, their hearts are far from the Lord.
These are the people referred to as “whitewashed tombs” (Mt. 23:27-28) because their outward appearance looks clean and holy but inside, they are filled with hypocrisy.
Unfortunately, Holy Spirit emphasized that many Christian leaders fall into this group because they are more concerned with the opinions of man and their appearance before man (Mt. 23:27-28).
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside, you appear to people as righteous but on the inside, you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness” (Mt. 23:27,28, NIV).
Because the Christian leaders have bowed to public opinion already, they will be deceived and go with public opinion quickly and easily (Gal. 1:10). They will readily go with the masses instead of leading the masses.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ” (Gal. 1:10)
Both the white-washed tombs and the Christian leaders who have bowed to public opinion will fall quickly into deception because they will not be able to withstand the tide of so many turning to Babylon which represents the world’s system (Rev. 18:4,5).
“Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes” (Rev. 18:4,5, NIV).
Group 3
Sincere Believers who Lack Courage and Perseverance to Overcome
The third group will be those who sincerely want to honor and serve Christ, but because of one weakness or another, fail to have the stamina to persevere. Although they are quick to quote Scripture and even pray and think that they know what to do, they lack the sticking power to persevere when times get tough.
This group has often failed to persist in a trial to the point of overcoming. As a result, they have racked up trial upon trial upon trial in their lives, without much visible results of overcoming. As a result, they don’t have enough testimonies of victory to help them remain strong through these siftings (Rev. 12:11.)
This stage of sifting will, unfortunately, grab ahold of many Believers who are sincere and well-meaning, but they lack the courage to remain strong (1 Peter 5:8,9.)
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love (1 Cor. 16:13,14, NIV).Group 4
Victorious yet Tolerated a “Seemingly Small Weakness” for a Long Time
The fourth group will be those who have a track record of victory and overcoming, however, due to some seemingly small weakness in their lives, the enemy is able to penetrate and deceive.
This weakness will be seemingly small, something they’ve tolerated for a long time. Still, that will be an inroad an open door for the enemy (SS 2:15.)
I saw in the Spirit what looked like a demonic mechanical hand that entered the area of weakness of these Believers and hooked its tentacles into the Believer’s life. Even though their hearts want to remain pure, they’ll find themselves pulled and unable to resist the power of the crowd, the power of the world’s sound, the power of the one-mind consciousness control.
As a result, they will find themselves pulled into the world’s way of thinking even though they will try to resist. The power of the crowd will simply be too strong for them given these seemingly small inroads in their lives and the enemy’s ability to hook them through these weaknesses.
Be holy for I am holy. (1 Pe. 1:15-17)
You must catch the troubling foxes, those sly little foxes that hinder our relationship. For they raid our budding vineyard of love to ruin what I’ve planted within you. Will you catch them and remove them for me? We will do it together. (SS 2:15, TPT)

Jesus’ Heart for His Bride
Jesus is looking for his bride without blemish, spot, or wrinkle. He is also looking at the quality of our work.
